Hand-woven by female artisans in the North East region of Bolgatanga, Ghana, each basket helps the women in these communities support themselves and their families through their time honored craft passed from generation to generation.
This handmade basket is made from long straws of dried elephant grass, which are then dyed and intricately woven into our custom Brother Vellies pattern. It can be used as a Wine basket to accompany you on your summer picnics or al fresco dinners on the terrace, or can be incorporated as a statement piece in your home. Our Creative Director, Aurora James, loves to use hers as a hanging vase by inserting a classic glass ball jar into the basket to fill with water & fresh flowers!

Brother Vellies shoes are handmade from bi-product or environmentally conscious materials. Because of this, no two pairs will ever be identical, and each pair has its own personality, making them yours and yours alone.
US Orders
We offer standard shipping on all orders, with complimentary shipping on orders over $500.
Orders under $500 will be charged the calculated UPS rate at checkout.
In-stock orders are processed within 2–3 business days before shipping. Once shipped, orders typically arrive within 3–5 business days, depending on your location.

International Orders
We offer worldwide shipping via DHL. Shipping costs, duties, and taxes are calculated at checkout.
In-stock orders are processed within 2–3 business days before shipping. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 4–14 business days, depending on the destination. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.
All international orders are shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid), meaning applicable import duties and taxes are collected at checkout to avoid additional charges upon delivery. Please note that duties and taxes are non-refundable once your order has shipped.
