Copal Incense Resin

As we navigate these challenging times, it is important to take time to meditate, to take care of ourselves, to clear our heads of negativity, fear and doubt.  

Our Copal resin incense, is made in San Cristobal de las Casas in the state of Chiapas, located on the southern tip of Mexico.  Copal is sacred to the indigenous cultures of the Central and South Americas. 

With thousands of years of rich history, the Maya have used Copal resin as incense offering in ‘limpias’, or cleansing rituals, to ward off ‘malas vibras’ (bad vibes) - helping to create a sense of calm and peace for you and your space. We work with local artisans in Chiapas and use only the purest locally harvested ingredients to make this copal.  The artisans roll the copal by hand in small batches with plant based ingredients such as resins, barks, seeds, roots, and flowers.
